Volunteer Policy
- An adult must fulfill one volunteer shift per registered child over the course of the season. For example, if you have 2 registered swimmers, you must volunteer two times. But if you enjoy it as much as we do, YOU CAN VOLUNTEER MORE TIMES!
- The meet volunteer jobs are available for signup during registration. Please sign up early in order to ensure the job/shift you are interested in. Please note, working at the 5/6 year old portion of the swim meets is limited to families with 5/6 year old swimmers ONLY. Families who incorrectly sign up for the 5/6 year old meet will be automatically reassigned to a different job.
- If you are unable to fulfill your shift, you MUST find your own replacement and also inform the Volunteer Coordinator (Amanda Duguid) prior to the start of the meet. To contact Amanda, please TEXT the Piranhas text number (281) 603-2130.
- Volunteers who are no-shows or who are late to their shift will be automatically assigned any other open shifts in the meet or season. Refusal to fulfill the volunteer jobs will result in the swimmer being removed from the meet.
- Those who do not fulfill their volunteer duty during the current swim season will not be eligible to re-enroll for the swim team the following year and/or be assessed for a fine.
- The Board reserves the right to change your volunteer responsibility at the time of the meet based on the need to fill all positions.
Swim meets are hectic and so much fun. Please contact a board member if you have any questions!
